Datum wall acts as a structural balance for the building and can second as a rainwater collection feature with cisterns on either end. The datum wall provides a portion of the framework for a four cornered private entry sequence allowing private spaces to nestle on one side of the building and public spaces to spread out on the other. The garage / barn addition frames planted courtyard and can function as a parking garage with stalls / multi-functional space or can be a 3-car garage depending on the needs of the homeowner.
